You can choose either the ‘Mystical Tour’, in which you will visit ancient Incan temples that are still used by the locals for carrying out ancient ceremonies and making offerings, as well as getting to explore the mountainous backdrop of the city; or the Classic Tour, which takes you to the nearby archaeological sites of Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and Sacsayhuaman.

Route
The Mystical Tour: Cusco – Templo de la Luna – Chacan mountain – Cusco
The Classic Tour: Cusco – Q’enqo – Puca Pucara – Tambomachay – Sacsayhuaman – Cusco

This tour is categorized as easy.
Day by Day
Both tours last approximately 3 hours, and although they have different routes, they follow the same structure.
Tours run either during the morning, from 9am until around 12.30pm, or the afternoon, from 1pm until 4.30pm. You will be met at your accommodation, and from there you will be taken by private transport to the ranch, to arrive by approximately 9am/1pm. You will first be provided with your horse, according to your level of experience, and the guide will demonstrate how to control him/her and how to use the safety equipment, such as helmets, etc. Once you are ready and comfortable, your guide will lead the way! You will end your tour back at the ranch, where you will then be met again by private transport and taken back to your accommodation for approximately 12.30pm or 4.30pm.
Traveling Season
Any time! Although be aware that the highlands of Peru are subject to a wet season, which runs from approximately December to February – this will be not make the tour impossible to do, but you will probably need to bring waterproof clothing!
